Funeral services for E. A. Hanson were held Wednesday, December 29, in the first Christian church. Rev. Elburn Moore of Beaver City, delivered the funeral sermon with Rev. R. D. Dodd, pastor of the Texhoma Baptist church assisting. Edward August Hanson was born February 17th, 1848, in Christiana, Norway. He came to this country at the age of 21 as a master Baker, having served his apprenticeship in Norway. He was naturalized and married Rebecca Gustin în 1877 and eight children were born to them, two preceded them in death Mrs. Hanson died here in 1927.
Mr. Hanson has lived in Texhoma the past twenty-five years and was the baker here until 1927. He has been a most loyal and faithful church worker everywhere he has lived and was in his place every Sunday, rain or shine, until a few weeks before he died.
Interment was made in the Texhoma Cemetery.
Mrs. Ruth Goddy and youngest daughter, June, are here from
Eads, Colorado. She came for the funeral of her father, E. A. Hanson.
