Mary Ann Hulen, daughter of William George Hulen & Mary Elizabeth Swaim, was born 21 Dec 1930 in Boone Co, Missouri. She married Robert Harrison Stull on 31 Jan 1847 in Schuyler Co, Missouri. He was born 22 May 1825 in Indiana, the son of Elijah Stull.

The couple migrated overland to California in 1854 from Missouri. They likely traveled with two siblings of MaryAnn Swaim Hulen Stull - brother, Andrew Jackson Hulen and sister Louisa Margaret Hulen Hawkins (Vardeman Hawkins).
