HAROLD G. MIKESELL
WALHONDING – Services were to be held today in Fischer Funeral Home at Warsaw for Harold G. Mikesell, 83, of RD 1 who died Thursday in Country Court Nursing Home at Mount Vernon. He taught school in Coshocton County for many years.

Revs. Harley Borden and Ralph Geiger were to officiate with the burial in Valley View Cemetery.

He was a son of the late John and Mary Conrad Mikesell. He was a 63-year member of Perry Grange and also was a member of New Guilford United Methodist Church, Knights of Pythias of Gambier and the Federal Farm Program.

Surviving are his widow, the former Helen Giffin, whom he married in 1919; three daughters, Mrs. Ted (Lelah) Connolly of Ashland, Mrs. Sam (Dorothy) Mizer of Coshocton and Mrs. John (Imogene) Hanes of RD 1; a sister, Myrtle Mikesell of Coshocton; 10 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. A brother preceded him in death.

Herald was one of the seven students to graduate from West Bedford High School in 1911. His oration was titled "Life's Atoms". His talk focused on the importance of the little things in life and how great deeds spring from small jobs done well.
