Jean Carney, 81, of Natrona Heights, passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at Allegheny Valley Hospital. She was born Feb. 5, 1932, in Tarentum, a daughter of the late Donald and Bertha (Hess) Livermore. She has lived the past 30 years in Natrona Heights, and prior to that, Tarentum. Jean was a homemaker and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Brackenridge. A 1949 graduate of Tarentum High School, she enjoyed cooking and baking, but she especially enjoyed her family and her grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Jeffrey L. (Alyce) Collins, of Buffalo Township, Timothy J. (Jane) Collins, of Buffalo Township, Kenneth A. (Lisa) Collins, of Natrona Heights, James J. (Marcy) Collins, of Allegheny Township, Julie A. Sheaffer, of Natrona Heights, and Jennifer L. (Michael) Rametta, of Allegheny Township. Also surviving are her nine grandchildren and one great-grandson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred C. Carney Jr., in 2009; a sister, Lori Bricker; and a brother, Norman Livermore. Private family visitation and services will be held in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., Tenth Avenue at Corbet Street, Tarentum, PA 15084, (724)224-1526.
