"R. L. Davenport, son of Lewis Davenport of Holyoke, Mass., suddenly disappeared from Westfield, about three years ago, and nothing was know about his whereabouts. A letter has just been received by his father, announcing his death at Kurrachee, in the Scinde, India. It seems he joined an artillery company of the English army in India, and survived the late war to die a natural death."
