Glynda Gilbert, 88, of Laurel, passed away on May 18, 2017, at Laurelwood Community Nursing Home in Laurel.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Memory Chapel with a graveside service at Union Line Cemetery at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2017. Rev. Duane Parker will officiate.
Mrs. Gilbert was employed with Walmart as an office clerk prior to her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Black and Lavada Edwards Black; husband, James Gilbert; and brother, Rudy Black.
She is survived by three sisters, Emma Jean Ware of TN, Dollie Cooley of Laurel, and Diane Hill of the Shady Grove community; and a host of nieces and nephews.
