Ervin McKinley "Erv" Auld, 71, of Grants Pass died Friday, Jan. 26, 2001, at his home. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors chapel with Wes Winn, pastor, officiating. Southern Oregon Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice or to the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety auxiliary, 101 N.W. A St., Grants Pass, OR 97526. Auld was born July 18, 1929, in Whittier, Calif. He lived in La Mesa, Calif., most of his life and worked as a building contractor for many years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War
On 30 Dec 1949 he married Patricia D Latture and had 2 children Lynda Susan born 1951 and Debra Dawn born 1955, they divorced and he married Helen Burnett on 7 Dec 1959, they divorced. For the past 20 years he worked as a salesman, selling and dispensing hearing aids. On Jan. 3, 1986, in Lemon Grove, Calif., he married Patricia Schwedler, His 3rd wife They moved to Grants Pass in 1992 from La Mesa, Calif.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety auxiliary. He enjoyed wild animals, squirrels, deer and his pets, especially his cat. He also enjoyed flying his airplane. In addition to his wife, survivors include a sister, Gwen Gross of Lake Tahoe, Calif.; and two granddaughters Danielle Romaniuk and Rhonda Tompkins, 4 Greatgrand children... He also has 2 surviving daughters Lynda and Debra both living in oregon
The ashes were then placed in a niche at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Summit Elite Block, East Section, Niche 19.
