Mr. Charlton Joseph "Chip" Altman, Jr., 39 of Blackshear, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013.
Born in Blackshear, GA on February 8, 1974, he had lived in Pierce County most of his life. He was a 1992 honor graduate of Pierce County High School and a US Army veteran where he had served as a medic. He was a member of the Blackshear Masonic Lodge # 270 as well as the Waycross Shrine Club and Hasan Temple. Chip enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved all types of racing motorsports. He was a diehard Florida Gators and Atlanta Falcons fan and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.
He was a son of the late Lynnette Henderson Altman.
Survivors include his father, Joey Altman of Blackshear; his sister and brother-in-law, Christie & Christopher Douberly of Douglas; his niece, Ruby Douberly of Douglas; and several other relatives and friends.
Visitation:
Visitation for Chip will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Service:
Funeral services for Chip will be held Thursday morning, February 28, 2013, at 11:00 o'clock from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
Cemetery:
Interment will be in the Beulah Cemetery.
