Gloria M. Payich of Wethersfield, died Tuesday, (March 8, 2005) at St. Francis Hospital. She was born in Hartford, the daughter of the late Charles and Catherine Lesoveck, and her step-father Paul Lapira. She was the widow of Joseph Payich. She performed locally as a singer in her youth under the stage name of Gloria Lesso. She had appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show in the early 50's. She also worked at Hart Mfg., Sage Allen and Colt Firearms. She was active in the trade union. She was also a member of the Barry Square Seniors. She leaves a daughter and son-in -law, Paula and Robert Casey; a grandson and his wife, Brian and Maureen Casey, all of West Hartford and a granddaughter, Beth Ann Casey of Stamford; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Rose Lesoveck of East Hartford; as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at both St. Francis Hospital, PCT, floor 7-1 and the Brookview Health Care Facility for their kindness shown to her. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 10, 10 a.m. at St. Luke Church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
