Charles Boyd, 58, died at 6 p. m. last Thursday in his home in the Clark neighborhood north of Homer, from a heart attack. He had been an invalid for several years.
Funeral services were held at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon in Homer Methodist church. Burial was in GAR cemetery.
Mr. Boyd was born Nov. 28, 1889, at Vevay, Ind., son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Boyd. He came to Illinois at the age of 17 and was married Oct. 19, 1910, to Ava Hixenbaugh, who survives him.
He also leaves three daughters, Mrs. Beryl Martin, Hoopeston; Mrs. Wanda Seaton, Homer, and Mrs. Ara Reifsteck, Ogden; two brothers, Harvey Boyd, Ogden, and Louis Boyd, Vevay, Ind.; three sisters, Della Geller, California, Nora Miller, Ft. Worth, Texas, and Sylvia Brown, Aurora, Ind.; two half-brothers, Omar Manser, Falmouth, Ind.; Joe Manser, Vevay, Ind., and his mother, Mrs. Dora Manser of Vevay.
A daughter, Mrs. Lorena White, preceded her father in death by a week.
