Mrs. Emma Blum, 71, a resident of Scottsbluff for more than 18 years, died at her home here, 1434 Eighth Avenue at 6:15 last night. She is the wife of Henry Blum, well known Scottsbluff man.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon from the German Congregational church, with Rev. George Batt in charge. Interment will be held in Fairview cemetery.
Besides her husband, she is survived by five children, Mrs. William Brunz of Oxford, Nebraska, and Mrs. Jake Walter, Mrs. Ed Kline, Mrs. Ed Nagel, and William Blum, all of Scottsbluff. Two brothers, Conrad Yost of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Pete Yost of Hastings, Nebraska, survive her also.
Twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren survive her. She is the mother of 15 children, 10 of whom preceded her in death.
Emma Yost was born on April 18, 1862, in Norka, Russia, and was 71 years, seven months and 28 days old, when she died. She was married to Henry Blum in November 1880 in Russia and came to the United States with her husband in 1892.
