Percy Ritchie, well known farmer residing west of Chapman, died at the Mayo hospital, Rochester, Minn., Saturday. Mr. Richie suffered an attack of pneumonia about two years ago from which he never fully recovered. Two months ago he went to Rochester for an examination and there underwent an operation from which he failed to rally.
The deceased was a prosperous young man, very successful in his occupation and had a host of relatives and friends who mourn his departure. He was an active worker in the Chapman M. E. church. Surviving him are the bereaved widow, five small children, his parents and several sisters and brothers. Funeral services were held at Fremont, Neb., Monday afternoon where interment was made.
