Mrs. Margaret Ruger Szabo, 57, formerly of New Paltz, died suddenly last night in Poughkeepsie as the result of a heart seizure. Born in Ireland, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Green Fitzgerald. She had lived in this country for many years. Surviving are two sons, Casper and Chester Ruger, both of Poughkeepsie; two daughters, Mrs. Donald Bugher, of Illinois and Mrs. Robert Mitchell, of California, four grandchildren, and her mother, Mrs. John Fitzgerald, of Ireland. She had lived in Poughkeepsie five years, moving there from Ulster county. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m., at the Pine Funeral Home, New Paltz. Burial will be in the New Paltz Rural Cemetery. The Rev. Marshall Wilson, of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, New Paltz, will officiate.
