B.P. Horton Succumbs to Brief Illness
Bobby P. Horton, age 68, of Quitman, died Saturday, July 17, in the Willis-Knighten Hospital in Shreveport, after a brief illness.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 19, in the Beech Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Major Lewis and Rev. Wayne Toms conducted the services.
Interment was in the Fellowship Cemetery near Hodge under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Gladys Horton; two sons, David P. Horton and Bobby Ray Horton, all of Quitman;
three daughters, Mrs. Maxine Kelly, Quitman, Mrs. Louella Copeland of Homer and Mrs. Versie Rison of Jonesboro;
two brothers, Ross Horton of Coushatta and Curt Horton of Quitman; one sister, Mrs. Essie Bell Wood of El Dorado, Ark.; 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive.
