Lewis A. Caron, 82, Greenfield, retired shoe repairman, died at 8:50 A.M. Monday in Greenfield Municipal Hospital.
Services were conducted at 2 P.M. Wednesday in the Murray Funeral Home with Revs. Robert K. Blaine and Clair Peter s officiating. Burial was made in Greenfield Cemetery.
He was a member and trustee of First United Brethern Church. He formerly operated a shoe shop in the business district for many years.
Born at Mowrystown March 15, 1884, he was a son of Paul and Eva Rose Caron. His first wife, Gertrude Badgley Caron died January 23, 1934. He was married February 5, 1935 to Rose Sharp Caron, who survives.
He also leaves a daughter, Mrs. James (Ernestine) Rife of Dayton; a son, Dr. Edwin Caron of Cincinnati and five grandchildren; two step-daughters, Mrs. James (Mary) Ketron of Vandalia and Mrs. Donald (Betty) Tompkins of Greenfield; two brothers and a sister, Earl Caron of St. Petersburg, Florida and Otto and Mrs. Emma Moler of Mowrystown.
