Delphine Adickes Schmidt, 85, of Mission Valley, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003. She was born March 11, 1918 in Mission Valley to the late Adolph and Adeline Reinecke Adickes. Delphine worked many years in Cuero at Cuero Foodcraft, Koenig Drive-In, the Barbecue Station, and as a greeter at Wal-Mart. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Mission Valley.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Nick Greco; grandchildren, Jim Greco, Kim Eveleth, Jeffrey Schmidt, Michelle Samford, and Bradley Schmidt; eight great-grandchildren; and sisters, Lillie Heller of Mission Valley and Ethel Heller of Inez.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. B. Schmidt; her parents; and a sister Elsie Adickes.
Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Cuero, under the direction of Freund Funeral Home, 361-275-2343.
