Mrs. Minnie Tooley Center died at a local hospital yesterday morning at 5:15 o'clock following three months of declining health and two days of serious illness.
Mrs. Center lived with her Mother, Mrs. Emma Tooley, at 320 Second Avenue, Park Place, and had spent all of her life in Greenville. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
She was twice married, her first marriage being to Harvey Pate Batson, who died some years ago. Her second husband, Henry Center, of Greenville, survives her together with six daughters: Mrs. Thomas Boyce, Charleston; Mrs. Pervis Rogers, Mrs. T.L. Painter, Mrs. Frances Wyatt, Misses Juanita Center and Edna Lois Center, all of Greenville; one son, J.C. Batson, Greenville, and four grandchildren.
She is also survived by her Mother, Mrs. Emma Tooley; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Davis and Miss Thelma Tooley, and two brothers, W.E. Tooley and the Rev. J.H. Tooley, all of Greenville.
Funeral services will be held from Friendship Baptist Church, Park Place, this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. The Rev. Charlie Gosnell will offiate and will be assisted by the Rev. Joe Parson of Charlotte. Interment will be made in the American Spinning Company cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be R.M. Long, E.M. Pirkle, L.A. Campbell, J.B. Pruitt, R.E. Dill and Harold Owens.

Honorary pallbearers will be W.M. Moore, H.C. Renfroe, D.G. Batson, E.L. Page, A.B. Welborn and F.C. Jones.
