John B. Gill, 59, East Cambridge, employee of Plant No. 2 Universal Potteries, Inc. for 37 years, died Monday at 9 a.m. at St. Francis hospital following one week’s illness. He was admitted to the hospital last Thursday. A native of Cumberland, Mr. Gill was born on Sept. 15, 1881, a son of Wesley and Amanda Swaim Gill, and was a member of the East Cambridge Methodist Church. His widow, Mrs. Ethel Williams Gill, to whom he was married on June 25, 1910; one son, Harold, Cambridge; two daughters, Louise and Margaret, of the home; two brothers, William and Homer of Zanesville; three sisters, Mrs. Verna Boggs and Mrs. Hazel King, and Mrs. Mary Engle, Montreal, Canada, and four grandchildren survive. Two brothers are deceased. The body was removed to the Stevens & McCracken funeral home, S. Eighth St.
