Mrs. Naomi Atkins Minnehan, 65, wife of Edward C. Minnehan in the Woodlawn community, died in a Nashville hospital at 10 pm Wednesday. She had been in impaired health for 13 years. Services will be held at 3:30 pm Friday at the Blooming Grove Baptist Church. The Rev R. A. Hamby will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pall bearers will be: George and Jesse Jones, Floyd Morrow, J. E. Rawlings, Raymond Bowers, and W. P. McWhirter. Deacons of the church will serve as honorary pall bearers: John Allen, Reynolds Allen, Gipp Bowers, C. W. Broadbent and H. Jones. Murphy and Thornton will have charge. Mrs. Minnehan was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County and was born April 4, 1910, daughter of the late Elvin R. Atkins and Allie Bowers Atkins. She is survived by her husband whom she married April 14, 1935, a daughter: Miss Allie Ruth Atkins of Woodlawn, her stepmother: Mrs Idella Atkins of Woodlawn, Two Brothers: Orman Atkins of Fort Knox, Ky and Henry Atkins of the Shiloh community. Two half brothers: Elvin R. Atkins of Woodlawn and Buford Atkins of Memphis and a half sister: Mrs. Paul Ikler of Philadelphia, Pa. She was a member of the Blooming Grove Baptist Church. The body will be at Murphy and Thornton Funeral Home until hour of the service.
