No dates on this small metal headstone in the ground, which I almost missed. I have her book from her funeral that I received from my grandmother with dates listed.
Grace was 17 when she married her first husband, Ole Oleson in Howard County IA, July 1902. He was quite a bit older than her. She left him in the poor farm in Huron SD and moved to western South Dakota where she worked for the Williams Family.
She married David Reausaw, but only lived with him for two weeks and went back to work with the Williams family farm near Osage SD.
Grace and Ole had three children, Mahalia, Mable and Milo Oleson.

Birthdate found 9 July 1879 in her obituary. In the Samson Family Prayer book the birthdate appears to be July 9, 1882, but is hard to read. And the Birthdate of 9 July 1885 seems correct as written out in the census 1900, She is also 14 in the 1900 census. She is not listed in the 1880 census, but her brother Tim is listed as 1 year old. 1876 as a birth year on the South Dakota marriage license to David Reausaw. 29 March 1875 is also a birthdate she used.
