Harold Allen Bird, 62 of Halls, Tennessee died on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at his residence.

Born Monday, March 20, 1950 in Jackson, Tennessee.

Mr. Bird was a farmer, FFA Alumni Lifetime Member and member of the Halls First United Methodist Church.

Memorial services for Mr. Bird will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the Halls First United Methodist Church. Officiating this service will be Rev. Barbara Blackmon-Fortune, Clint Sanders and Tom Davis. The family will receive visitors at the Church from 2:00 until service time on Sunday.

Mr. Bird is survived by his wife of thirty five years, Janice Williams Bird of Halls, Tennessee; one son, Dr. William Allen Bird & Wife Kristen of Lincoln, Nebraska; his mother Normagene Olhausen Bird McHughes of Medon,Tennessee; and two brothers, Charles David Bird and William Glen Bird both of Medon, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Harold Bird and his step-father, Ralph McHughes.

The family asks that memorials be directed to St. Jude Tribute Program, P.O. Box # 1000-Department # 142, Memphis, Tennessee 38148-0142 or the Tennessee FFA Foundation, Box # 5034, Tennessee Tech University, Cookeville, Tennessee 38505-001.
