The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, EST, Monday, February 25 at First Baptist Church of Tallahassee. Burial will follow at Tallahassee Memory Gardens. Gifts in memory of Mr. Green may be made to First Baptist Church, 108 West College Avenue, Tallahassee, FL 32301.
A native of Holland, Texas and a boyhood resident of Georgetown, Texas, Mr. Green moved to Tallahassee from Perry, Florida in 1965. He was a longtime employee of Triangle Mechanical, before leaving and starting Curt Green Mechanical in Tallahassee. He was active in the Masonic fraternity and the Shrine, as well as a member of Killearn Golf and Country Club. A longtime member of First Baptist Church, he and Mrs. Green taught first grade Sunday school for more than forty years. Mr. Green was also a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps and the United States Air Force.
Other survivors include his four children, Laura Joanos (Manny), T. Curtis Green, III (Johanna), Omer Douglas Green and John R. "Rusty" Green (Darla), all of Tallahassee; two sisters, Betty Barker of Georgetown, TX and Peggy Green (Judy) of Ellenton, FL; and one brother, Jimmy Green (Brenda), also of Georgetown. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Michael Joanos, Zachary Joanos, Graham Green, Amanda Green, Raechel Green and Rebekah; and one great-grandchild, Taylor Green.
