Willie Elmer Bingham, 78, Spruce Pine, Ala., died Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at his residence. Mr. Bingham was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of Quinn Memorial Church of Christ. He was also a member of the carpenter's local for 37 years. He was an Army veteran and was retired from TVA after 20 years of service. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2003, at Pinkard Funeral Home chapel, Russellville, with burial in Franklin Memory Gardens. Officiating will be Carl Gilbert and Lonnie Oldag. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. He is survived by his son, James Bingham and wife, Barbara, Spruce Pine; sister, Opal Ezzell, Russellville; grandchildren, Jamie Bingham, Paige Presley and Misty Richardson. Pallbearers will include Eddie Ricketts, Tommy Mansell, Larry Oliver, David Bray, Anthony Landers and Norris Moses. Honorary pallbearers will include members of Carpenters Local 1274, Decatur, Ala. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcell Bingham. Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
