Anna Jo Newingham, 93, of Jeannette, died Sunday, July 3, 2005, in the Mercy Jeannette Hospital. She was born July 14, 1911, in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Robert and Lillian Hartman Keener. She was a member of the Penn Volunteer Fire Department Ladies' Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Howe; two grandchildren, Rebecca and Fred Howe; three sisters, Willa Herholtz, Alberta Painter and Tweet O'Lear; and a brother, Jack Keener. She is survived by a daughter, Gloria Gaudi and her husband, Robert, of Jeannette; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Shirley Sullivan, of Jeannette; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Entombment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park Mausoleum, Greensburg.
