Death Takes Mrs. Agnes O. Colgrove
Mrs. Agnes O. Colgrove, 56, the wife of one of Fairport's most prominent businessmen, died unexpectedly at 11 p.m. Monday at her home at 53 Chatfield Dr.
Mrs. Colgrove was born in Wayne County near Wooster. She had been a Painesville resident for 25 years and lived in Fairport for approximately five years prior to coming to Painesville. She was a member of the St. James' Episcopal Church.
Her husband, Melvin S., who survives, has been a Fairport businessman for over 30 years. He owns and operates the Colgrove Drug Store on High St.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Colgrove is survived by four sons; Richard O., a Painesville attorney, of Mentor Headlands; M. Samuel, Thomas M. and James E. all at home; a granddaughter, Kathleen and sister, Minnie, of Rocky River.
Funeral services in charge of Mulqueeny Brothers Funeral Home are pending and will be announced later.

Colgrove Rites Set For Thursday
Last rites for Mrs. Agnes O. Colgrove, who died unexpectedly Monday, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in St. James' Episcopal Church, following a brief service at 1:30 p.m. at the home, 53 Chatfield Dr. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
The Rev. Dayton B. Wright, rector of St. James, will officiate at the services.
Friends may call at the home.
