John Alexander Locke Ijames;
Born 1835 in Davie County, NC, and moved to Missouri as a young man to become a farmer. Died 16 Oct. 1873. Served in Co. A, 47th Regiment Missouri Volunteer Infantry. Was wounded and most likely taken prisoner at the battle of Pilot Knob, Sept. 27, 1864. He died of "disease of the bowels" as a result of this injury.
