CAMP GRISDALE - Howard F. Hayes, 54, a Roseburg, Ore., resident, died Tuesday at Camp Grisdale while visiting relatives.
Born Dec 3, 1913, in Gold Beach, Ore., he was a retired logger.
Surviving are his wife, Betty; four sons, Dan of Montesano, Frank of Winston, Ore., and Larry and David, both of Waldport, Ore.; three daughters, Cora M. Hayes in California, Donna Barnes of Montesano, and Jane Craig of Tillamook, Ore.; his father, Frank Hayes of Gold Beach; and fifteen grandchildren. The body was sent to Long and Shukle Mortuary in Roseburg, where funeral services will be scheduled.
