Hallie D. Darst, 95, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001 at a local nursing home. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27, 2001 in the Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home.
Mrs. Darst was born June 16, 1906 in Detroit, TX to the late Benjamin Eugene Keeth and Mattie Moore. She was a retired school teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Ray Darst in 1969.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Travis Morgan of Aspermont, TX, Mrs. Rex Rose of Bakersfield, CA, Dixie Torrance of Abilene; several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 871 Woodlawn, Abilene, TX 79603, or to the charity of donors' choice.
