Daughter of Sir Edmund Bray and Jane Hallywell. Grand daughter of John Bray, Richard Hallywell and Anne Norbury.

Wife of Thomas Lyfield, Esq., mother of Jane.

In 1547, Thomas acquired all of the lands from Frances' brother, Sir John Bray, Lord Bray. In 1557, they acquired the manors of Stoke D'Abernon, Eastwick in Great Bookham and Fetcham, Surrey also from her brother. In 1560 they acquired the advowson of Great Bookham from William More. In 1571 they turned over, or sold, the manor of Eastwick to Ralph Stevyn. Frances died 1592, Thomas died in 1596.
