RUBY MARTIN:
Sanford: Ruby Willett Martin, of Sanford died Saturday February 5, 2011 At E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center in Lillington. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Mrs Martin was born in Lee County, daughter of the late Herbert Willett and Lena Coley Willett and was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Cleo Martin.
She was a seamstress at W. Koury Co. for many years attended Greenwood High School and was a member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and played the piano.
Mrs Martin was preceded in death by sisters Alma Johnson, Lillie Belle Clark, Mary Lou Carlyle, and Inez Cranford; and brothers Mack Willett, Steve O. "Bud" Willett and Lynn Willett.
Mrs Martin is survived by two daughters, Sandra M. Paschal of Sanford and Linda M. Paschal and husband Michael of Sanford. Two sisters, Geneva Frye and Susie Lee; one brother Larry Willett and wife Nellie; sisters in law, Annie Ruth Willett, Mattie Willett, Isabelle Womach and Shelby Martin; one brother in law, Glen Martin and wife Margie. Four grandchildren, Amy Keister and husband Don, Brooke Paschal, Aaron Paschal and wife Lauren, and Nicole Paschal and fiance William Woody. Two great grandchildren Christopher Keister and Nathan Paschal, several nieces and nephews; honorary granddaughter, Marti Martinez Walton and beloved nieces and caregivers, Debbie Milliken, Crystal Voiles, Shirley Kennedy, Cindy Hart and Frannie McGraw.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Rogers-Pickard Funeral Home.
