Wayne W. Watson, 77, of Montebello, California., died Thursday May 16. He was a former Trenton resident.

Funeral services were held in California.

Mr. Watson was born August 7, 1913 in Nowata, Oklahoma., the son of Ira and Nellie Watson. He later moved with his family to Trenton. Mr. Watson moved to Pasadena, Calif in 1934 and was married to Alice B. Foster, of Trenton, on Oct. 21, 1935.

Mr. Watson served with the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945.

Survivors include his wife Alice of the home; one daughter, Joyce Summerhays of Mesa, Arizona; two sons, Frank W. Watson, of Whittier, Calif., and Larry L. Watson, of Big Bear, Calif., one brother Donald Watson, four grandchildren, Chris Summerhays, Frankie Watson, Corey Watson and Sandy Summerhays; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Watson was preceded in death by four brothers, his twin, Wyatt; Raymond, Marion and Randall, one sister, Pauline Hart; and one grandson, Timothy Summerhays.
