"The funeral of Phanett L. Page, 83, was held at 2:30 p. m. today at his late home at 214 Kossuth St. The Rev. F. L. Hicks of First M. E. Church officiated, after which Roman Lodge, No. 223, F. & A. M., conducted ritualistic services with P. W. M. Seymour E. Spinnig acting as master. There were flowers from officers and employes of Rome Trust Co., Roman Lodge, K. S. M. G. Missionary Society of First M. E. Church, neighbors, friends and relatives. Bearers were Fred V. Brown, Elmer M. Spriggs, Carl H. Simon, Frank S. Davis, Charles M. Briggs, Jonas G. Fike, all members of Roman Lodge. Burial was made in the Deansboro Cemetery. Among relatives and friends at the funeral were a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Keith of Wheeling, W. Va.; a granddaughter, Mrs. Melvin Naylor of Pittsburgh, and Mr. and Mrs. Newton Page and Miss Maude Page of Deansboro." [Daily Sentinel (Rome, NY), Saturday Evening, May 26, 1934, Page Ten]
