He was born January 13, 1921 in Cherokee County, NC and was the son of Moses Lee Thompson and Blanche Battle Thompson.
He was a veteran of the US Army.
Survivors include his wife, Daisy; son, Willard Lee; two daughters, Jackie and Debbie; and two sisters, Lillian and Alyce.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, January 21, 1994 at Christ United Baptist Church.
