The funeral of Mr. Franz Sterner, who died last Saturday, at the age of 67 years, took place yesterday morning from his late residence, 1741 East Lombard street. The remains were taken to St. Michael's Catholic Church, where a high mass of requiem was celebrated. Interment was made in Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Martin W. E. Dippel was the undertaker in charge.
Mr. Sterner was a native of Germany. He came to this country when quite young and later engaged in the tailoring business in East Baltimore. He was one of the founders and members of Father Koppelman Council, Catholic Benevolant Legion, from which the active pallbearers were chosen.

On January 10, 1903, Franz Sterner, aged 67 years and 3 months, beloved husband of the late Mary A. Hammel. Born in Germany on September 30, 1835. The deceased was survived by four sons, four daughters and twelve grandchildren.
Funeral will take place from his late residence, No. 1741 East Lombard street, this Wednesday, January 14, at 8:45 A.M., thence to St. Michael's Church, where a Requiem High Mass will be said for the repose of his soul at 9 o'clock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
