Son of Edward E. & Leah (Garrison) Haney.

Married and the father of three sons and one daughter.

"Ray Edward Haney was a loving husband, devoted father, loyal friend, and an Air Force veteran who fought in the Korean War.

Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he later attended the University of Southern California (USC) and met his future wife during his time there. He settled in a beautiful home in Sherman Oaks, CA and raised his four children there.

He was a well-loved Boy Scout troop leader and was truly a father to all of his scouts. He later had six grandchildren and spoiled all of them.

In his retirement, he traveled frequently with his wife and friends. Ray was always finding some new historical fact to research and debate about with people, and he always found something to joke and laugh about.

He will be missed deeply by his family and friends, and will always be remembered as the proud, hard-working, generous, and loving man that he was to all." per his obit.
