Mrs. Rosie Annie Bowman Haymore, 84, of 195 Marigold Lane, Ararat, VA, passed away Saturday night, February 16, 2013, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Haymore was born April 21, 1928, in Patrick County, VA, one of eight children born to the late Dewey Lee and Martha Ann Hall Bowman. Rosie was a homemaker and a member of Flat Rock Pentecostal Holiness Church. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Roy Franklin Haymore of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Dwaine Bowman of Ararat, VA; a son, David Franklin Haymore of Lexington, KY; a grandson, William David Haymore of Stuart, VA; a great-grandson, Brandon Haymore of Ararat, VA; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Gladys Boyd, Margaret Dowdy, and Frances and Weldon Tobler, all of Mount Airy, and Opal Bateman of Ararat, VA; a brother and two sisters-in-law, the Rev. Homer and Louise Bowman of Winston-Salem and Rada Bowman of Mount Airy; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joe and Carol Haymore of Savannah, GA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Haymore was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Hall Haymore; a sister, Marie Bowman; and a brother, the Rev. John D. Bowman. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Flat Rock Pentecostal Holiness Church, with Dr. David Sparks and the Rev. Homer Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Doe Run Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Flat Rock Pentecostal Holiness Church. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Moody Funeral Services, P.O. Box 1288, Mount Airy, NC 27030, to assist the family with the funeral expenses. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
