David Frederick Haage was born to Fred L. Haage and Dorothy I. Schafer. He has three sisters : Mary McDonough nee Haage, Ester Schafer nee Haage, and Arlene Alterauge nee Haage and 1 brother Arthur Haage. Fred passed in 1954 and his mother later married Sylvester Klipfel.
David Frederick Haage married a lady named Marilyn Scott and had 2 children a daughter named Ronda Marie and a son named Stanley Wayne. Their marriage ended in divorce and he later married another lady named Louise Cantrell and that union ended in divorce and no childen were born to them. He later met and married my mother Betty Jo Kagley. She had been married once before to a David Ratledge and had a son named David Dewayne. David and Betty were married in 1983 in Tennessee and had me. I actually came along 5 years earlier and they got married when I started asking why their names were different. Ha kids go figure! My parents divorced sometime around 1987 and then they remarried in December of 1989.
My daddy lived a full life and it ended with a brave and well fought battle against Small Cell Lung Cancer. On Feb 10, 2002 his Step-Father passed away and that is when my daddy decided to quit smoking. On April 1, 2002 we found out that my daddy had Small Cell Lung Cancer. In-Operable and only given a month to live. He took Chemo that was just a Clinical Trial and then Radiation and he lived 10 months. He never gave up. He fought hard to the end.
