Carl C. Chrisman was born on January 31, 1899, to Frederick and Mary (Helmer) Chrisman. His middle name was just the initial "C." He married Hattie Pearl Caird in 1922 and together they had two children, Florence & Elizabeth Chrisman. Hattie passed away in 1926 from septic poisoning, and was pregnant at the time.
Carl moved to Oakland County, Michigan, with his daughter Florence and a few of his siblings after the death of his wife. He married Evelyn Marie Findlay on August 19, 1932, in Waterford, Michigan. Together they had 7 children, Carl, Doris, Robert, Clayton, Shirley, Dale, and Roger. Carl passed away at the age of 80 from heart problems.
