Lieut. Gordon Stephens Weds Miss Young in Stockton.
Lieut. Gordon F. Stephens of the 12th Infantry, Camp Fremont, the son of Mrs. S. M. Stephens, 7106 Hawthorne avenue, and Miss June Young of Stockton were married Saturday, Sept. 14, in Stockton.
The church wedding took place at 6 o'clock in the presence of a few intimate friends and the family. Miss Julia Young was the maid of honor and Lieut. William Thomas was the best man. Mrs. Stephens, mother of the bridegroom, attended the wedding.
Miss Young, the daughter of Mrs. Nellie Young and the late Dr. Young, wore a beautiful gown of white chiffon satin, and her grandmother's wedding veil.
Lieut. and Mrs. Stephens will be at home in the Nardine Apartments, Palo Alto, until the young officer is ordered overseas.
The wedding is the culmination of a romance which began three years ago when Lieut. Stephens was attending the University of California, and Miss Young was a student at Mills College.
There is another cause for rejoicing in the Stephens family at present, as Capt. Dorsey Stephens, the elder son, has been promoted to the Artillery Staff of the Third Army Corps in France. Both the brothers are graduates of Hollywood High School, and the University of California, where they were members of Alpha Delta Phi.

Gordon & June Stephen's children were:
1. Eleanor Young Stephens, b. Feb. 12, 1923 in Los Angeles County, CA. and d. Dec. 3, 1986 in Los Angeles County, CA. Eleanor marr. Robert Cornelius Kiger in 1948.
2. Gordon Fitzhugh Stephens Jr., b. Jun. 12, 1926 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, CA. and d. May 19, 2008 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, CA. Gordon married Marylin _.
