Helen June Morey was born on June 1, 1921 in Verdel, Nebraska to James and Clara (Lux) Branstiter. Helen passed away in Tillamook, Oregon on February 4, 2013 at the age of 91. When she was 17 years old she and a girlfriend traveled to Oregon where she spent two years in Newberg. There she met and married Larry Morey on June 4, 1941. They lived in Newberg for ten years before moving to Tillamook in 1951. She worked at Kimmel's Hardware store for over 20 years. Helen loved sewing, crocheting, and baking.
She is survived by her loving family, sons Larry Morey of Eugene, OR, Mike Morey of Tillamook, Jeff Morey of Tillamook,
daughter Pam Obrist of Tillamook; grandchildren Ryan, Todd, Chris, Tracy, Brian, Larry, Mark, Ronnie, Troy, Jenny and Jeffrey; and by 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Larry, their daughter Kathy, and their son Ron.
Funeral services were held on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Waud's Funeral Home. Memorial contributions in Helen's name may be made to either United Paws or the Women's Crisis Center in Tillamook.
