Anthony B. C. Knox was born on __________ __, 1827 in __________, Indiana, possibly the son of Daniel Knox and __________ (__________) Knox. The knox family came west to Illinois in the 1840's, apparently settling first in Shelby County. At the time of the 1850 census the Knox family is found in Locust Grove Township, Shelby County, Illinois;

In the early 1850's, at least some of the Knox family moved to Tazewell County, Illinois. Anthony B. C. Knox was married to Eliza Ann McIntire on October 4, 1853 in Tazewell County, Illinois. Eliza was born on September 16, 1831 at __________, __________.
Anthony was listed as a farmer in Dillon in the 1860 and 1870 census. Anthony and Eliza are believed to have had at least four children:
1. Sarah J. Knox, born c. 1853/54 in Tazewell County, Illinois.

2. James D. Knox, born

3. William T. Knox, born

4. Laura Knox, born c. 1863/66 in Tazewell County, Illinois.

Anthony was married 2nd on February 21, 1872 to Jane (McDonald) Morris in Tazewell County, Illinois. Jane was the widow of John Morris, by whom she had several children including, Clara Alice Morris, who was married to __________ Wait.
Jane McDonald is believed to have been born in December of 1833 in Ohio. Two children are known to have been born to Anthony and Jane. They are;
5. Gwen E. Knox, born ___________ __, 1873; married to Comadore P. Angelton on __________ __, 18__; Gwen died on _____________ __, 1939 and her earthly remains were laid to rest in the Forgan Cemetery in Forgan, Beaver County, Oklahoma.

6. Alexander Knox, born c. 1875.

By 1880, both Jane and Clarissa are gone and only Henry remains in Dillon Township in Tazewell County. He is married and listed as a farmer.
