Abigail Reed Walker was the daughter of Samuel Walker and Mary Reed Walker. She was first married to Louis Lincoln who died one year later. Second she was married to James Fosdick and they had three children.

In 1841, Mrs. Abigail R. Fosdick was one of 14 members of the "Maternal Board" at Charlestown Female Seminary, Charlestown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts: "This Board have a Maternal care of the Boarding-House, and advise with the Teachers in the management of it."
