Sophia and Peter were married about 1822 in Rumford, Oxford County, Maine. Sophia and Peter had five children. They were: Sophia Kimball was born on 24 October 1824; Charles Wheeler Kimball was born on 30 October 1829; Viola Kimball was born on 27 March 1830. She died on 19 July 1833; Sarah M. Kimball was born on 19 July 1833. She died on 27 November 1835; and Charles Mellen Kimball was born on 24 February 1839 in Bethel, Oxford County, Maine.
Charles married Clarissa "Loretta" S. Bartlett in 1865 in Bethel, Oxford County, Maine. Loretta and Charles had no children. After Loretta died Charles married Mary E. Bartlett on 03 July 1873 in East Bethel, Oxford County, Maine. Mary and Charles had five children. They were: Irving Kimball was born on 09 May 1875; Lillian Retta Kimball was born on 18 November 1876; Rose Rawson Kimball was born on 15 May 1880; Hester May Kimball was born on 03 October 1884; Ceylon Mellon Kimball was born in February 1893. All the children were born in Bethel, Oxford County, Maine.
