Everett C. Beard, 69 years of age, died at the Veterans Hospital in Louisville, Sunday, Nov. 14 at 4:30 p.m., after several months illness. He lived in Campbellsville. Funeral services were conducted in the Lyon Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. George Phillips with burial in Brookside Cemetery with military service at graveside. Mr. Beard was born in Adair County at Cane Valley, son of Alice Allen and Scot Beard. He was a retired painter and paper hanger and was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Liza Wade; a daughter, Mrs. Lucy Calhoun, Campbellsville; and a sister, Mrs. Mattie McGaha, Columbia, Ky.; and several grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ray Willis, Jesse Bohanon, Roy Gilbert, Russell Pike, Frank Dudgeon, and E. Wade.
