George was a member and Past Chief of the Retsof Fire Department. He volunteered for over 27 years at York Central School as timekeeper for basketball games. George was a NASCAR fan, and enjoyed traveling and mowing lawns.
Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 4-8 PM where Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 11 AM with Rev. Ray Lindquist officiating. Burial will be in Leicester Cemetery.
