Wayne G. Lackey, 67, of Parker City, passed away unexpectedly early Thursday morning, Sept. 30, 2010 at his residence.
He is not buried here in this cemetery, as he was cremated.
He was born on December 29, 1942 in Selma, IN, the son of Harry and Lou Ellen (Graham) Lackey. He was a 1961 graduate of Farmland High School.
Wayne had worked many years at Marhoeffer's Meat Packing in Muncie, prior to their closing. He most recently was retired as an independent contractor. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Margie Lackey.
A service to celebrate Wayne's life will be 2 p.m., Monday, October 4, 2010 at Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City. Cremation will follow. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, October 3rd at the funeral home.
