He was married to Martha Wood May 19, 1891. He has been a faithful follower of the Lord Jesus Christ and a member of the United Presbyterian Church for more than sixty-three years. He was a charter member and an elder in the First United Presbyterian Church of Sterling, Kan. He was a quiet but useful citizen, a neighbor, and a kind husband. His wife and one sister, Miss Mary Boyce, and a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn his departure.
