Dan Alter, 85, of 1009 West Granada Court, Ontario, died, May 17, at his home. A retired inspector for Kaiser Steel, he was a native of Charles City, Iowa, and an Ontario resident for 26 years. Member of Ontario Elks Lodge No. 1419 and Ontario Masonic Lodge No. 301. Survived by his widow, Grace; one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Stepp of Long Beach; and two grandchildren. Services 1:30 p.m. Monday at Draper Chapel. Entombment Bellevue Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Draper Mortuary from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
