Joseph A. Bono, 90, formerly of Buffalo, Wyoming, died Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the Essa Flory Hospice Center. He was the husband of the late Adeline (Maynard) Bono.
He is survived by a niece; Nancy C. (Austin) married to Steven Boepple of Paradise Township, with whom he lived; a niece Ellen A. Mateer of New Jersey and a sister, Anna Marcogliese of Lancaster.
Joe was a veteran of WWII where he served in Ardennes, Europe and the Rhineland. He was Past Commander of Fort McKinney VFW WY Post #2469.
He worked as a Distribution Coordinator in advertising.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Anthony and Theresa (Russo) Bono.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 2 until 4 PM in the Bachman Funeral Home, 7 South Decatur Street, Strasburg, PA. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery, Buffalo, Wyoming. www.bachmanfuneral.com
