Mrs. Jennie Crownover Gipson, 80, of Winchester, a retired teacher, died Wednesday morning at Franklin County Hospital following an extended illness.
She was a former teacher at Alto School.
A Franklin County native, she was born April 19, 1901. She was the daughter of Hugh and Jennie Cherry Crownover.
She was an Episcopalian.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. The Rev. John Baltz will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Garner Cemetery.
Survivors include two granddaughters, Mrs. Angela Sawyer and Mrs. Vicki Crownover, both of Winchester, and two great-grandchildren,
